Cookies and privacy

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files which are stored on a user's computer. They are designed to hold a modest amount of data specific to a particular client and website, and can be accessed either by the web server or the client computer. This allows the server to deliver a page tailored to a particular user, or the page itself can contain some script which is aware of the data in the cookie and so is able to carry information from one visit to the website (or related site) to the next.

How to manage and delete cookies?

Some of the cookies we use are integral to the functioning of all Cross Border sites. By using your browser's options to block all cookies you will, in effect, prohibit effective use of Cross Border sites. For example, cookies are used to keep you logged in as you navigate between pages on our website, to set your language preferences, and to ensure that online payment facilities function properly. If you still wish to control the operation of cookies, then functionality is available through your browser. Generally you have the options to accept all cookies, to be notified when a cookie is issued or reject all cookies.

For instructions on controlling or deleting cookies in your browser, please visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
